Fletcher Community Chorus Offers International On Thursday evening May 22nd at 7:30PM the Fletcher Community Chorus will present “Stars In a Spring Sky” in the Parish Hall at Calvary Episcopal Church in Fletcher, NC. From Russian, Yiddish, Finnish, Swedish and Spanish folk songs to Irish wedding music, this collection of simply beautiful songs from everywhere promises to delight listeners of all ages! Under the musical direction of M. King Goslin, a diverse assemblage of musicians will provide accompaniment on Piano (Anita Freeman), Bass (Elizabeth Chappelear), Flute (Judy Grobe), Balalaika (Leeanna Chappelear), Percussion (Cory Brown), Claves (Judy McKnight) and Guitar (King Goslin). Founded in March 2007, the Fletcher Community Chorus is sponsored by the Fletcher Arts and Heritage Association. This fun-loving group includes singers and musicians of nearly all ages and has recently performed at Kenmure Country Club, Ardenwoods Retirement Community and Spring Arbor West. They have been invited to return to Biltmore Estate to sing for Candlelight Christmas 2008. Admission to Thursday’s concert is free.
